What this blog is for: a public notebook where I write down what I want to remember — technical deep-dives, reflections, and strategies, written to be re-read.
This is a notebook I keep in public. I write things down here because I want to find them again later. The reader I am writing for is my future self: curious, technical, and prone to forgetting the details. Publishing is the part that makes it real — if it is written down, I can come back to it.
That changes what counts as worth publishing. A post does not need a hook or a niche. It needs to be something I will be glad to have written down in a year.
A deliberate mix. Some posts are technical: learning-rust-with-ai is a deep dive into learning a language when an AI can generate all the code. Some are strategies: the ADHD productivity stack ranks the evidence behind the productivity advice everyone sells. Some will be reflections I do not want to lose. The thread is curiosity, not a category.
The one constant is that I can trust what I write. When I cite research, I verify it, I report the effect size, and I say how sure the evidence is. When I give an opinion, I say it is an opinion. When I do not know, I say I do not know. Not as a strategy — as the only way I can re-read my own notes without second-guessing them.
Some posts will be dense with numbers, some pure reflection. Both belong here, as long as neither pretends to be the other.
I have an ADHD diagnosis. It is a background variable in how I work, not the subject of this blog; I mention it when it matters and not otherwise.
There is one, and I am not going to pretend otherwise: this post is a cleanly structured manifesto announcing that I will be messy. That is deliberate. Consider it the last tidy post — the one that sets the terms, so the rest can be rough.
A post I would be happy to re-read is a success, even if nobody else sees it. An audience is a pleasant side effect. If you find something useful here, that is a bonus — but this notebook exists for the person who wrote it first.
This blog is a notebook, kept in public, written in English because that is the language of this site. It will be uneven and unplanned. The hope is that in a year I can come back here and remember what I was thinking, and why it mattered.
